With a sturdy, user-friendly design, this tester provides a quick, easy way to assess brake fluid quality, helping drivers stay safe by monitoring moisture levels that could affect braking performance.
Intuitive LED Display
The LED indicator lights are color-coded for easy interpretation. Green means the fluid is safe to use, yellow indicates a low moisture level (around 2%) that may require checking again soon, and red suggests a high water content that necessitates replacement. Flashing red indicates an urgent need to change the brake fluid for safety.
Quick, Accurate Results in Seconds
The tester delivers immediate feedback on brake fluid quality, indicated by clear LED lights. The green light signals that the water content is below 1.5%, which means the fluid is in good condition. A yellow light indicates a water content of 1.5% to 3%, suggesting it’s safe to continue using the fluid but recommending another check in six months. A red light warns of moisture levels above 3%, signaling that it’s time to replace the fluid to maintain safe braking.
Technical Parameters:
- Green Light: Water content <1%, fluid is safe.
- Green/Yellow Light: Water content <1.5%, good performance.
- Green/Yellow/Yellow Lights: Water content about 2%, fluid is still usable.
- Green/Yellow/Yellow/Red Lights: Water content about 3%, replacement recommended.
- Green/Yellow/Yellow/Red/Red Lights: Water content over 4%, immediate replacement needed.
Compatible with Multiple Brake Fluid Types
The tester works with DOT3, DOT4, and DOT5 brake fluids, providing versatile use for different vehicles and ensuring that brake safety can be accurately assessed regardless of fluid type.
Easy Use
Step 1. Turn on the brake fluid tester by pressing the button. A green light should light up. If the light does not come on, it may be time to change a battery.
Step 2. Unscrew the lid for the brake fluid reservoir, and take off the cap for the brake fluid tester.
Step 3. Dip the test probes into the brake fluid and the LED lights will indicate the percentage of water in the brake fluid.
Step 4. After testing, remember to screw the lid of the brake fluid reservoir back on tightly.
Step 5. The tester will automatically power off after 12 seconds of inactivity.
